This work includes working with new and potential providers as well as existing ones in order to develop the range and spread of adult provision in the borough.

The team works very closely with organisations providing advice, information and training in order for them to be able to grow and become a main ALS funded provider, where appropriate. As part of the capacity building process, the team may help put on small pilot projects to give new organisations an introduction to procedures and protocols with the aim that they become familiarised with the Adult Learning Services quality assurance systems.

As part of this work, the team can provide guidance on improving quality of teaching, curriculum development and working with the organisation to explore ways of enhancing existing subjects.

We also provide contacts and referrals to other capacity building organisations who we work closely with. These organisations provide a range of services that may be of interest.
