Formally known as the Education Advice Service for Adults (EASA), the Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Team provides free, independent and impartial information, advice and guidance to Hackney adults. If you are over the age of 19 and live and/or work in the London Borough of Hackney, the Team can provide information about the many courses available in the Borough, across London, regionally and nationally.
The Service can help you to make the right choice
Members of the Team will help you to decide which course is the right one for you. The Service can advise you about interviews for colleges and universities, student support and trusts, other sources of financial support and studying whilst unemployed. We offer a drop-in service where you can get immediate help and an appointment service when clients can discuss their learning needs in a confidential interview with an Adviser.
Whatever your learning goals, we can help you to achieve them
Advisers work with adults to clarify their learning needs and identify learning options to meet these needs. To encourage and support adults returning to learning, sometimes after a lengthy period, staff can negotiate with colleges, universities and other learning providers to help adults enter the educational system.
