Nurseries in Hackney provide full and part-time day-care and education for children aged birth to five years. Nurseries provide a wide range of stimulating, caring and educational experiences that encourage children's individual learning and development, using the 'Early Learning Goals' and 'Birth to Three Matters' as frameworks. The nurseries are generally open all day and throughout the year and provide an inclusive service for parents and carers who are working and studying.
Some nurseries offer support for families in need. All nurseries are registered and inspected by OFSTED.
