About Wentworth
Welcome to Wentworth Nursery School and Children’s Centre. We are based in E9, at the heart of a vibrant community with families from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds. We have two buildings on opposite sides of Cassland Road Harrowgate House (on Cassland Road) and Granard House (on Hartlake Road).

Wentworth has been a Nursery School in Harrowgate House since 1950, and at its most recent inspection (April 2010) was deemed as “outstanding” in all categories. We provide nursery education for 90 children aged 3 and 4 within school hours and school terms. We also offer before and after school care for children who attend the school, from 8.00am 6.00pm on school days. There is a charge for this extra care.

In 2008 we were delighted to become a Children’s Centre as well as a Nursery School. This means we can support the parents and young children in our community in a range of additional ways. Granard House is open for 48 weeks of the year from 9.00am to 5.00pm and provides activities, classes and support for the families of young children. Our services are open to all Hackney residents with children under 5 years.
