| Teenage Pregnancy and Parenthood: The Vulnerable Pupils Team |
| In the Vulnerable Pupils team, we aim to provide support and advice to young people of compulsory school age who are pregnant or who are young parents. |
Our purpose is to ensure that pregnant young people and young parents remain in education during and after the pregnancy, and that they are given the best opportunities possible for future education. We believe that this will increase these young people’s life chances.
We have a multi-disciplinary team approach and our social workers liaise with other agencies and professionals in statutory and voluntary sectors to advocate for young parents’ best outcomes.
We take a holistic approach to teenage parenthood and education, and we are committed to supporting teenage mothers and fathers, as well as the families of young parents.
