The Board of Directors of The Learning Trust at their meeting on 30 June 2005 approved a recommendation that a statutory notice be published detailing a proposal to close Homerton College of Technology with effect from 31 August 2007 on the following model:
- Cease all admissions immediately closure is legally settled.
- Close all year groups except year 11 on 31 August 2006.
- Maintain the school as one year group only (year 11) for academic year 2006/07 then full closure on 31 August 2007.
