Primary pupils in YouTube appeal for new teachers

Determined to get the best teachers for their school, pupils at Daubeney Primary School in East London have made their own YouTube video appealing for teachers to "come join us at Daubeney School".

The video gives a glimpse of the school and features a soundtrack written by Sycamore class (10/11 year olds) and performed by pupils from Elder class (7/8 year olds) and Redwood class (10/11 year olds). The Hackney school, which is just around the corner from the main 2012 Olympic stadium, has vacancies for experienced teachers in Key Stage 1 & 2 and offers a golden hello of up to £6,000.

Acting Headteacher Prue Barnes said: "The children have been fantastic and really got into the spirit of things. They know exactly the kind of enthusiastic, experienced and caring person they want as a teacher."
