School Journey Grant

This grant is only available for pupils and students on recognised residential study visits to Kench Hill Centre during term-time. It is funded by Pupil Services. The value is £75. This amount will be deducted from the total cost charged for a residential visit.

Parents/guardians should contact the school organiser in the first instance, up to 3 months before the planned visit.

All pupils who receive free school meals are eligible. The school or college organising the visit will notify Kench Hill Centre, which administers the grant. Other families who receive Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credits (with an income below £16,040) are also eligible.

They must complete a simple application form, available from the school or college, or downloadable from our website. The form, with supporting evidence, should be sent to Kench Hill Centre, who will notify the school/college if the grant application is approved.
