Some partners also provide courses for schools across the borough, particularly B6 Sixth Form College and Hackney Community College.
All partnerships are now looking at courses for students aged 14-19 that they can be shared across the partnership. Partnerships are also developing vocational diplomas in Construction, Health & Social Care and Creative & Media. The Partnerships are at the heart of our strategy to develop collaboration across the borough.
North Partnership – Stoke Newington School’s new 6th form opens in September 2006. The schools have been working together on their 6th form courses as the starting point for their collaboration.
Central Partnership – Mossbourne Community Academy is proposing to develop a 6th form and work is underway to ensure this would fit with the plans for the partnership. Progression routes for students from Stormont House School once they reach 16 will be part of the partnership’s 6 th form provision, as will post-16 provision at Clapton Girls Technology College (about to be consulted on) and the Petchey Academy. Mossbourne Community Academy will have their first Year 10 students in Sep 2007 so work is underway to develop shared courses with Clapton Girls’ Technology College and B6 Sixth Form College.
South Partnership – It is proposed that from 2010 Haggerston School becomes mixed and have a 6th form which will work with other 6th form providers in the South Partnership |
