In–year transfer to Secondary Schools
From 1 September 2011, parents must follow the new in–year co–ordinated admissions procedure, by applying through The Learning Trust.
In–year co–ordinated admissions procedure
The Learning Trust will be responsible for offering places at all state–maintained primary and secondary schools, as well as academies to all Hackney resident pupils whose parents apply for school places from September 2011 onwards.
Applying for a secondary school place
You need to complete the new in–year common application form, at the Learning Trust. You can visit The Learning Trust between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. If you have recently moved to Hackney you should bring with you proof of your child’s date of birth and proof of residence – recent Utility Bill.
If you list a secondary voluntary–aided (faith) school on the in–year application form, you will still need to complete the school’s supplementary information form (SIF) in order to be considered under the school’s religious priorities. These forms are already available from the in–year admissions team or from the individual schools.
