The school will admit a maximum of 30 children to the Reception Class, including children for whom the school has been named in a statement of Special Educational Needs.

If there are more applications than places available for the Reception Class and any other year group, the Governors will admit pupils in the following order of priority:
  1. 1 Jewish children in public care.
  2. 2 Jewish children with a brother or sister on the roll of the school at the time of the proposed admission;
  3. 3 Jewish children currently on roll of the Simon Marks nursery;
  4. 4 Jewish Children for whom there is a demonstrable need on the grounds of their acute medical or social need;
  5. 5 Other Children recognised as Jewish;
  6. 6 Other looked after children who are not considered Jewish;
  7. 7 Other children not considered Jewish.

For priorities 1 - 5, children who are Halachically Jewish will be given priority.

In the event of there being insufficient vacancies to admit applicants in any of the categories detailed above, priority will be given to children living nearest to the school as measured in a straight line from the main entrance of the school in Kyverdale Road.

All unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a waiting list and children will be ranked on the list in accordance with the published over-subscription criteria above.
