| Statement: The experiences that we provide are the most powerful way that we ensure equality of
access for all our children. We aim to deliver high-quality learning within a framework of an engaging,
broad and rich curriculum. |
Our framework for learning, which will be linked to personalised learning,
demands a curriculum entitlement and choice that delivers a breadth of study, personal relevance and
flexible learning pathways through the education system.

- E-learning must be used appropriately to enhance, extend and broaden the curriculum delivery
- The child’s voice must be sought, listened to and responded to
- Positive mental health must be promoted through support with behaviour and emotional development
- Healthy eating and living must be promoted in settings and schools
Standards: What will it look like
- There will be good-quality teaching and learning
in schools and settings, which reflects our diversity
and the different learning styles
- High standards of attainment and better than
average value-added results will be achieved
- Well-qualified staff will meet the national
standards requirements: NQT, NPQH, LPSH, NPQ,
NVQ, Higher Level Teaching assistant, NPQICL
- A range of expertise will be shared through our
leading practitioner programme and our
Advanced Skills Teachers (ASTs)
- Good-quality self-evaluation systems in place in
our schools and settings will ensure quality
provision is available for all children
- The talents and interests of all children will be sustained through effective creative partnerships
- The personal, emotional and social development of the child will be a central issue throughout their education
- The curriculum will provide a rich and varied programme
of experiences for all learners
- Curriculum and learning opportunities will reflect and
celebrate the diversity, knowledge and understanding of
cultures and religions
- Cultural and sporting/physical activities will be arranged to
extend children’s experiences
- Children’s learning will be tracked and there will be a
comprehensive understanding of children's achievements and
development
- There will be a strong extra-curricular programme with enrichment
activities, which are interesting and relevant, extending
children’s horizons and opportunities for their future lives
- High-quality family learning programmes will be in place
- The National Healthy School Status will be achieved
- The Quality in Study Support Standards will be achieved (OSHL)
