- Everyone within an educational setting will have a professional development folder – a continuing professional development entitlement.
- The continuing professional development programme will be culturally sensitive
- There will be an emphasis on basic skills – Quality Mark – focusing on literacy and numeracy standards.
- Family learning programmes will be running and well attended.
- Networks of schools and settings will share good practice that is based on learning.
- Assessment for learning strategies will be embedded which also reflect pupil self-assessment and peer assessment and develop the child's voice further

Standards: What will it look like
- There will be good-quality teaching and learning in schools and settings, which reflects our diversity and the different learning styles.
- High standards of attainment and better than average value-added results will be achieved.
- Well-qualified staff will meet the national standards requirements: NQT, NPQH, LPSH, NPQ, NVQ, Higher Level Teaching assistant, NPQICL.
- A range of expertise will be shared through our leading practitioner programme and our Advanced Skills Teachers (ASTs).
- Good-quality self-evaluation systems in place in our schools and settings will ensure quality provision is available for all children
