How is The Pupil Involved?

Targets for a pupil's learning and/or behaviour are discussed with the pupil and recorded on their IEP. The pupil will usually be invited to attend at least part of the review meeting when the progress made towards the IEP targets is discussed.

Transition planning
At the review of the Statement that takes place in Year 9 the school will invite a range of people who will play a major role when the young person leaves school. They will not only discuss progress made in achieving the set targets but will discuss a Transition plan for the move into adult life. The views of the young person form a major contribution to this plan and it is likely that they will have been working with a Personal Advisor from the Connexions Service link to ensure that they are represented fully at the review meeting.
