The SEN Assessment and Monitoring Team co-ordinates the formal assessment of the Special Educational Needs of Hackney young people and maintains Hackney Statements of Special Educational Needs.

Its team of case officers is available to :

• offer advice to parents and schools concerning the Statutory Assessment process
• consult with schools regarding the placement of pupils with Statements
• produce and manage Statements maintained by the Learning Trust
• represent the Learning Trust at appeals lodged with the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal.
