Closure details - schools and other settings
|30 Jun 2020 15:52|
All Hackney Schools, and most other settings, continue to stay open during term time for vulnerable children and children of critical workers.
Vulnerable children and children of critical workers are defined as follows:
- Vulnerable children: children who are supported by social care, including child in need plans, on child protection plans, ‘looked after’ children, young carers, disabled children, those with education, health and care (EHC) plans, and those with a multi-agency early help plan
- Children of critical workers: children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home
See further information on who are classed as critical workers and vulnerable children.
From 1 June primary schools are also able to open for the following year groups: early years, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. The exact start date for this is decided by schools. Schools will be in differing positions about this: you should contact your child’s school for further information.
From 15 June secondary schools are planning to open for Year 10 and Year 12 for some sessions only. The exact arrangements are determined by the schools. You should contact your child’s school for further information.
Schools continue to provide resources and lessons for those children learning at home.
The schools/settings listed below have confirmed that they are closed. This list will be updated as and when we receive further information from schools.
