Closure details - schools and other settings
|3 Apr 2020 15:35|
Some Hackney schools and settings have informed us that they will be open over the Easter holidays for vulnerable children and children of critical workers. You can visit our Easter holiday status page to see at a glance which schools and settings will be remaining open. However, we would advise that you check your school or setting's website for the most up to date information.
The majority of Hackney Schools and settings will continue to stay open during term time for vulnerable children and children of critical workers.
Vulnerable children and children of critical workers are defined as follows:
- Vulnerable children: children who are supported by social care, including child in need plans, on child protection plans, ‘looked after’ children, young carers, disabled children and those with education, health and care (EHC) plans
- Children of critical workers: children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home
See further information on who are classed as critical workers and vulnerable children.
The schools listed below have confirmed that they are closed. This list will be updated as and when we receive further information from schools.
